free homebuyer education classes

interested in becoming a homeowner, but not sure where to begin? we strongly advise that you enroll in a pre-purchase homebuyer education class. the jackson housing authority (jha) and local nonprofits will offer free homebuyer education classes during the 2012 calendar year. enrolling in a homebuyer education class is a good start for any first-time homebuyer. the classes cover topics like the advantages and disadvantages of owning a home, the mortgage payment and other cost of homeownership, rebuilding and restoring credit and personal finances, home inspections, the role of lenders and real estate agents. it is important to remember that to be eligible for some federal grants, federal housing administration loans etc…, many borrowers must complete a hud approved homebuyer education class. all sessions are scheduled for the last saturday of each month. 2012 homebuyer education class schedule
