this is the perfect beginning of a 2-3 hunter diy hunt on 1320 acres of private land in gmu013 17 miles south of hayden colorado. pastures with fingers of cover are the roads that the deer and elk travel to get to the hayfields. the area supports local and migrating herds of deer and elk, there is a trick that quickly put elk down and the owner will show you how as he shows you the property and provides you a map of the property. there is an additional 160 acres to hunt that has an “as is”, a frame cabin on it that is free to stay in although you might want to look it over before you stay their some repairs are needed. there is camping with a self contained trailer, or camper, or tent if you bring one, the options are yours. it is close enough to hayden or craig to stay in town also if you would rather do that. the lodging is not a part of this package it just happens to be on the property. the owner will meet you on the property, then show you the fences and provide you with a permission slip and a map of th4e area. he will also show you the way the elk come into the hay fields down the scrub brush finger and show you how to pin them down.
the hunts are 5 day hunts if the season you select allows for only $995 per person 2 person minimum, 4 people maximum.
