this is a trophy bull elk hunt in the famous gmu 020 bordered on one side by rocky mountain national forest where big bull live. they leave the park during the rut to search for cows in estrus. some monsters have come from this hunt with many mature bulls in the 5 year-old + category. because of the trophy bull population it takes preference points to draw or willingness to buy a voucher for $500 to $1000. the cost is $5250 reduced to only $1000 plus a $1000 harvest fee on this hunt. this outfitter has hunted for many years in this area just outside the park. he is an expert at calling in bull elk. these are huge trophy elk (usually 6x6 bulls) or better. the herd genetics in this area have produced some monsters in the past for this outfitter.
