for your consideration is my completely restored 1976 gl1000. much love & money invested in this bike. i stripped it down to the frame, & started back from the frame up. i had all the black parts power coated with the exception of the fuel tank which was sent off to repair, seal & paint. the mufflers are power coated flat black with the other parts & frame gloss black. i bought every nut,bolt & washer new nos that i could buy for this thing. i sent all the chrome off to strip & re-chrome at a cost of $2k. i put all new taper bearings in neck & swing-arm. i had the all the instruments restored. brand new seat installed. all new belts & hoses, new coils & wires. new electronic ignition. new signal lights all around with new stems & even had them chromed.new front tire & tube & liner. rear tire is very good but not new. bought a set of chrome fork tubes, new chrome head covers & timing belt covers.new tail light,& brake switch.new rear shocks. new fuel system including fuel pump. all new cables. carbs rebuilt. new brakes system including master cylinder on front, rear one rebuilt, new brake hoses, pads, caliper pistons. all new graphics & pinstripes including the honda nameplates on the flase tank. had the red color matched & painted with modern paint & clear coated over the stripes & decals. the motor has 29k miles but is very strong & compression measures 150psi on all four cylinders cold.
